The role

Shedd is hiring a full-time Retention & CRM Specialist to join our Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience managing user communications (email, push notifications, in-app messages), running A/B experiments and working on paid re-engagement such as retargeting. This role will demand to work closely feel with Data Scientists, Product and Tech teams, in order to improve the set-up and intelligence of our campaigns (for example, through the usage of a recommendation engine alongside with our CRM platform). Experience with a Mobile Marketing Automation tool is a must (Braze, Leanplum or Swrve) as well as with email marketing.

You can juggle multiple projects at the time, and you feel comfortable having technical discussions with Product and Data teams. You can understand the value and contribution of your campaigns and you are able to take decisions based on data, not guts. You like to experiment and try new things without putting at risk your results. You’re a team player, curious, competent, and others enjoy working with you. You welcome and give honest feedback, especially when it’s harder to do so.

You’ll be part of our team of creative and smart people, and will have the opportunity to collaborate with the other teams at Shedd in a fast-paced and competitive industry.

As a Retention & CRM Specialist at Shedd, you will:

  • Define and execute the CRM & Retention strategy across multiple channels
  • Improve our Retention metrics through a multichannel approach
  • Own the HTML creation for email marketing
  • Own the technical implementation of our MMA solution and lead iterations on it to keep the tool at its best
  • Measure, optimize and iterate campaigns to meet our KPIs
  • A/B test multiple campaigns to identify the right tone of voice and copy that will deliver the most results
  • Provide reports to the leadership team as well as recommendations based on results
  • Benchmark Shedd’s communication strategy against competitors and provide recommendations based on your analysis
  • Work with multiple teams and stakeholders to optimize the acquisition funnel and increase the effect of our campaigns
  • Stay on top of industry trends and best practices

What we would like you to have:

  • Relevant experience (5 years or more) managing CRM campaigns with focus on Retention
  • Good communications skills (you know how to communicate and idea and influence other people in their decision making)
  • An analytical and results-oriented mindset
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Fluency in English (Portuguese, Romanian, Russian or Arabic is a plus)
  • Experience in a tech company (start-up environment is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge on analytical tools (GA, Mixpanel or Amplitude as well as Mobile Attribution platforms)
