Position Summary:

The Senior Manager of Ad operations at dubizzle/OLX will report directly into the Director of Advertising and will be responsible for managing part of the Ad Operations set up across Middle-East, Africa and Pakistan for multiple markets.

This role will see you manage and oversee parts of the current adops team ensuring productivity and efficiency levels are maintained to a very high level of service, whilst taking ownership of monthly revenue reporting by channel for each market. A key responsibility is ensuring a high level of accuracy at a granular level for invoicing and forecasting purposes. Trafficking and campaign management will also be required at times to support the wider team.

A core focus will be to ensure the professionalism of advertising is continuously improving within the business, acting as communication liaison between advertising and senior management, providing revenue reporting by market, revenue analysis by client, agency group, device, vertical, ad unit and so on. Provide direction on new revenue considerations with insights by market which relate to pricing and new products.

What responsibilities will you get when working with us?

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all data requests for the advertising department on yield analysis, campaign optimizations, new revenue considerations. Data insights by platform, device, channel, ad unit, category, device.

  • Help out with all adops tasks such as ad trafficking, campaign set-up, creative checking, optimizations and reporting for any digital advertising campaign.  

  • Serve as primary escalation contact for all data requests relating to revenue, site traffic, campaign insights plus support any data requests relating to audience building, sales collateral needs. You may be required to provide in-depth support for any tech related request, some include; creative management queries, rich media execution and troubleshooting 3rd party reporting discrepancies.

  • Accurately reporting Revenue up for Direct sales at month end to Finance in timely manner allowing for all directly sold campaigns/DFP revenues.

  • Maintain a strong relationship with Doubleclick specialists, staying abreast on the latest Doubleclick trafficking solutions and certification processes of new products.

  • Stay up to date on emerging advertising technologies and initiatives through research and participation in industry groups.

What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • Can be an active contributor of the sales team to reach and exceed the sales quota while contributing to overall team goals.
  • Cross functional collaboration for campaigns management of complex solutions.
  • Ability to build and manage key relationships within agencies & partners.Ability to educating clients on new advertising products and best practices.
  • To drive product adoption and performance based upon client’s needs.
  • Understanding of the advertising technology that powers and drives these solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong consultative sales and solid analytical skills
  • A focus on client service;
  • Experience positively influencing others both internally and externally.

Job Requirements/Experience:

  • 6 years+ experience in ad operations

  • 4 years+ in management position.

  • Deep understanding on the digital advertising landscape, include programmatic, mobile/app, native & Video.

  • Effective data analysis skillset and the ability to provide actionable insights.

  • Experienced troubleshooter for any ad tech related query, including targeting capabilities, optimization possibilities and creative/tag troubleshooting (including JavaScript, Flash, rich media technologies and pixel)

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of 3rd party ad servers (DFP ideal), Salesforce.com, AdX and any other real-time bidding/ad exchange.

  • Exceptional spreadsheet and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accuracy and meet tight deadlines in high volume periods.

  • English is essential

  • Arabic desirable
